Slippery Rock University offensive lineman Cory Tucker signed an NFL contract with the Green Bay Packers on Saturday at the conclusion of the NFL Draft.
The South Park native, who started 48 straight games at right tackle for The Rock, is the first SRU player to sign an undrafted free agent deal since Mike Butterworth in 2008.
Tucker, who was named an All-American by six different organizations this past season, was also a finalist for the Gene Upshaw Division II Lineman of the Year Award. He joins Seneca Valley graduate and current Vikings guard Brandon Fusco as the only two Slippery Rock alumni currently in the NFL.
