The City of Butler is taking action in order to correct some storm sewer problems on Monroe Street.
Engineer Joe Gray informed City Council about the need for the work, which will involve replacing and reconnecting inlets and a 48-inch pipe that is cracked and in bad shape. This has caused flooding at several businesses and residences on Elm Street.
Council is expected to award a contract for the work to Martino, Inc. in the amount of $122,000 at their meeting Thursday night.
A date for the project to begin and what detours will be necessary has not yet been determined.
