Schools in Mercer County were on lockdown for over an hour Tuesday afternoon while police searched for a man with a gun.
According to State Police in Mercer, 19-year-old Robbie Abraham’s mother contacted police just before 1 p.m. when he pointed a gun at her while walking along Route 318 in East Lackawannock Township. Abraham then allegedly fired the gun in the air and pointed it at himself before fleeing on foot.
State Police from Mercer and New Castle, as well as Mercer County Sheriff’s Deputies, Pa. State Parole, and the Mercer Borough Police department searched for Abraham. Shortly before 2 p.m., police found him on Vickerman Road and he initially refused to drop his gun before complying.
Abraham was booked into the Mercer County Jail on a laundry list of charges.
