Students at Mars Area Primary Center collected nearly 10,000 diapers as part of the school’s ‘Stuff The Bus’ diaper drive to benefit local families in need.
Diapers were collected last week and stuffed into a school bus on Friday (April 15). They will now be taken to the Lighthouse Foundation and distributed to families in need.
The foundation is a Christian outreach organization serving impoverished individuals and families in northern Allegheny and Butler counties.
The fundraiser was held in conjunction with the ‘National Week of the Young Child.’
