The Butler girls track and field team won the Tri-State Track Coaches Association Outdoor Championships Saturday at West Mifflin high school. The team had also captured the indoor championship in February. The Golden Tornado topped a 33-team field. The 4×100 relay team of Savannah Miller, Emily Horstman, Odile Enslen and Shana Hoy ran to a first place finish with a time of 50.13. Emily Horstman finished second in the 100 and 200 meter dashes while Liz Simms finished 2nd in the 800 meter run.
Butler will host Shaler Tuesday before hosting the Butler Invitational Friday.
