Volunteers are needed for an event this weekend at a local park.
Jennings Environmental Education Center in Slippery Rock is hosting a program called Take Back the Woods: Battling Invasive Species from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday.
Participants 12 and older will be working outdoors weeding out invasive plants. A lunch will be catered by North Country Brewing Company. Plus, each volunteer will receive a native plant to take home.
