Anglers from across the state are getting ready to head out for the first day of trout season.
The season officially begins at 8 a.m. Saturday and the daily limit is five trout at least seven inches long.
The Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission has stocked many local waterways with over 3 million trout.
A new FishBoatPA smart phone app allows anglers to use their phone’s GPS to search for trout waters nearby then get directions. For more information about licenses visit GoneFishingPa.com.
