A local business has been honored for their financial education initiatives.
NexTier Bank was among the 35 institutions recognized with a Financial Education Innovation Award at the second annual Innovation in Financial Education Awards April 6th in New York City.
NexTier has helped to create the Financial Scholars Program which has reached over 500 local students at no cost to schools or taxpayers. Awards are given based on criteria including scale and reach of the initiative, duration of commitment, and unique employee volunteering activities.
NexTier Incorporated has corporate offices in Kittanning as well as 26 community offices throughout Allegheny, Armstrong, and Butler Counties.
