The Butler County Historical Society will be looking for local history during an event Thursday.
The Butler County History Picture Harvest is taking place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday at the Senator Walter Lowrie House on West Diamond Street in Butler.
The public is asked to bring photographs, letters, maps, images, memorabilia, and other artifacts so that they can be scanned into the archive. The Historical Society is teaming up with students from Slippery Rock University’s Stone House Center for Public Humanities for this event. All original materials will be returned once they have been digitized.
