The Pittsburgh Penguins lost their 2015-2016 regular season finale on the road to the Philadelphia Flyers on Saturday by a final of 3-1.
Scoring for the Penguins was Nick Bonino. During the game, goalie Matt Murray, starting for the injured Marc-Andre Fleury, left the game after being hit by a Flyer. Murray’s injury is described as an upper body/head injury. Jeff Zatkolf finished the game between the pipes. Additionally, Captain Sidney Crosby and defenseman Kris Letang did not play in Saturday’s game.
The Penguins finish the season with an overall record 48-26-8, which was good enough for 104 points and second place in the Metropolitan Division. The team will now wait for the 2016 postseason schedule.
