The Pittsburgh Penguins defeated the Philadelphia Flyers 6-2 Sunday evening in their final regular season home game. Sidney Crosby opened the scoring with his 33rd goal of the season on a power play. The victory was the Penguins 12th in their past 13, and sixth in a row. They now lead the New York Rangers by five points in the Metropolitan Division.
The Pens are playing without starting goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury who is sidelined with a concussion. Matt Murray played the last two games in net, and recorded his first NHL shut-out Saturday over the New York Islanders. The Pens visit Ottawa Tuesday at 7pm. They have three games remaining in the regular season.
