A couple local Westminster College students have been recognized for their accomplishments at state Intercollegiate Honors Band.
Marissa Lyerly was named first-chair and concertmistress for first-clarinetist for the second consecutive year. Lyerly is a senior music performance major who graduated from Mars High School.
Zachery Woessner earned first-chair, fourth horn. Woessner is a senior chemistry and music double major who graduated from Butler High School.
Honors Band took place March 4-6 this year at Elizabethtown College. One hundred students from 23 colleges and universities across the state participated.
