Construction of the new Centre City Parking Garage in downtown Butler is on schedule and under budget, officials say.
Butler City Council received an update on the progress of the structure from the city engineer and project manager during a meeting Tuesday night.
The garage is currently $57,000 under budget thanks to savings on items like winter weather protection and doing some testing in-house.
Some traffic disruption is expected on McKean Street beginning April 4 as steel beams will begin to go up. That process is expected to be completed by the first of May.
