The Butler Library is holding a new event in a couple of weeks.
The April Fool’s 5K and 1-mile Fun Run will be on Saturday, April 2, 2016, at Alameda Park in Butler Township at 9am. This is the first time the library has held this event.
Kaitlyn Bowlin, with the Butler Public Library, says the hope is to reach out to the community who may not be familiar with the library and connect with people who have not been to the library.
Participants can register in advance at www.butlerlibrary.info or registration can be done the day of the event. There are different prices for individuals, kids and families.
All proceeds benefit the library. The Butler Public Library opened in February of 1894.
