The Pirates fell to the Yankees yesterday afternoon and did it with a little bit of a different look in the lineup.
Manager Clint Hurdle put Andrew McCutchen in the 2nd spot in the lineup, hitting behind new 1st baseman John Jaso, who led off. McCutchen did hit a solo home run in the first inning, while Jaso drove in an RBI in the 2nd inning.
John Locke threw five innings allowing five runs on six hits while striking out two.
Gerrit Cole will make his second start of the spring when the Pirates take on the Phillies today at 1:05 p.m. The Bucs will see a familiar face on the mound for the Philadelphia, as the Phillies are expected to start former Pirate Charlie Morton.
