Despite the mild weather we’ve been enjoying, you might not want to pack away your winter coat just yet.
National Weather Service Meteorologist Aaron Tyburski says March is a fickle month.
“I’ve been in the meteorology field for over 20 years and I never say never,” Tyburski said. “We can see wild swings in temperatures in March.”
As much as we hate to say it, it’s not unheard of to have snow in March or even April.
“It’s not uncommon to get snow in April,” he said. “We don’t expect any in the near future but as we move into April, there’s also that chance.”
Tyburski urges residents to resist the urge to plant flowers and gardens because even though temperatures are good now, a frost could be looming.
