The Pittsburgh Pirates fell to the Detroit Tigers on Saturday by a final of 3-0.
In addition to Saturday’s loss, the Bucs added 3rd baseman David Freese to a one-year deal, worth approximately $3million. Freese is a 32-year-old former St. Louis All-Star, and hit .257 last season with the Angels, in addition to 14 home runs. Additionally, he is a former NL Championship and World Series MVP, both coming in 2011.
The Pirates will host the Detroit Tigers Sunday afternoon in Bradenton. First pitch is scheduled for 1:05pm.
