Butler High School bowler Ashley McCue won the Western Pennsylvania Regional tournament Friday at North Versailles Bowl. McCue finished 10th overall in the six-game qualifier, then won four matches during the stepladder finals to win the event. She defeated Deanne Murray of Peters Township 181-177 in the championship match.
McCue qualified for the Pennsylvania State Championships next week. Also qualifying from the Butler boys team were Nick Huff and Shawn Marcellus. Hali Hartley of Mars qualified as well.
