A pedestrian was hit and killed Monday night along Route 8 just over the Butler County line in Richland Township (Allegheny County).
Police say 32-year-old April Powell of Gibsonia was attempting to cross the road when she was struck by one vehicle and then run over by another vehicle.
The crash happened about 7:45 p.m. near the intersection of Route 8 and Bakerstown Road.
Powell was pronounced dead at the scene.
Both drivers involved in the incident stayed on the scene. It’s unknown whether charges will be filed against either of them.
