A Chicora woman has been charged as a result of an accident in downtown Butler last weekend.
According to a Butler City Police report, 40-year-old Jacqueline Jack ran into the back of another vehicle at a red light at the intersection of Jefferson and Chestnut Streets last Saturday night (2/27).
Jack then left the scene but surveillance cameras caught the incident and the truck was soon located. A rental agreement inside the vehicle identified Jack who was arrested. Alcohol is thought to have been involved.
The other vehicle that was run into was driven by 49-year-old Jody Queen of Slippery Rock. Queen and a passenger also from Slippery Rock were taken to Butler Memorial Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
