The state of Pennsylvania is teaming up with two other organizations to form a Bullying Prevention Consultation Helpline.
The state Department of Education is joining with the Highmark Foundation and the Center for Health Promotion and Disease Prevention to operate the helpline.
The helpline will be a public resource for students, families, and schools to develop strategies to address bullying and resolve bullying situations. Highmark Foundation has donated $30,000 to help operate the service as well as create resources to publicize the helpline.
Messages can be left on the hotline 24 hours a day, seven days a week and will be returned Monday through Friday during normal business hours. That number is 1-866-716-0424.
