Pirates open Grapefruit League play with win over Detroit

The Pittsburgh Pirates opened their pre-season with a 4-2 victory over the Detroit Tigers Tuesday. Catcher Francisco Cervelli hit a home run as did shortstop Jordy Mercer. The Bucs host the Tigers today.
