Local elementary school students will honor a fellow classmate today who lives with a rare disease.
Seneca Valley graduate Matthew Wunsche lives with Ataxia Telangiectasia, which is a rare inherited disorder that affects the nervous system, immune system and other body systems. Matthew is one of nearly 7,000 people who live with the disease.
Students at Rowan Elementary School, where Matthew was once a student,’ will honor him during what they’re calling ‘Rare Disease Day.’
Donations will support the National Organization of Rare Diseases.
