The federal government is giving states additional funding to combat the ongoing opioid crisis.
The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services has pledged over $1.8 billion to expand access to treatment as well as support the collection of the latest data.
Pennsylvania will receive a total of over $141 million through this most recent funding announcement.
The Center for Disease Control and Prevention will make resources available where they are needed to prevent opioid misuse, overdose, and death.
