A Seneca Valley Middle School math teacher will stand trial after being accused of possessing child pornography.
Jonathan Brecht, 26, appeared in court Tuesday and waived his preliminary hearing.
Brecht was found to be “sex chatting” with an underage girl online. In the chat, he allegedly asked the minor if she wanted to have sex. The girl was reportedly between the ages of 12 and 14.
Police say the crimes happened at the Franklin Park home he shares with his mother. Investigators say Brecht told them he posed as a woman online saying it was easier to chat that way.
Brecht has been suspended from Seneca Valley without pay.
