A Homeland Security Seminar will take place next week in Butler County.
The event will focus on emergency preparedness and offer tips on what business owners and residents should do in the event of an active shooter or other horrific event. The conference is set for Friday, March 4 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Atrium in Prospect. It is sponsored by the Butler County Tourism & Convention Bureau.
The seminar will cover the topics of suspicious activity, cyber risks, active shooter, bomb-making, human trafficking and more. Representatives from the Department of Homeland Security will be on-hand.
The cost is $15 per person. The deadline to register is Wednesday (Feb. 24).
