The statistics from the most recent bear harvest have been released.
According to the Pennsylvania Game Commission, over 3,700 bears were harvested in 2015…making it the third largest total in state history. Officials say 18 of those bears weighed over 600 pounds.
A total of 22 bears were harvested in Butler County in 2015, which was a decrease compared to 28 in 2014.
