A Seneca Valley High School senior was awarded one of three $1,000 scholarships from the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association (PMEA).
Senior instrumentalist Julie Scanlon is a member of the Seneca Valley Instrumental program and participates in Marching Band, Wind Ensemble and Jazz Band.
Each year, PMEA awards scholarships to high school seniors who are choosing to pursue music in college. Scanlon plans to attend Brigham Young University in the fall and major in music education.
