Pitt basketball came out flat to begin the second half against Virginia, and was never able to recover as the Panthers fell to the Cavaliers 64-50 Saturday afternoon at the Peterson Event Center.
Jamel Artis led the Panthers with 17 points. Michael Young complimented that effort with 12 points and 10 rebounds, but that wasn’t enough to stop a hot shooting Virginia team.
The Panthers will continue their tough streak of opponents Tuesday night when they head to Miami to take on the number 17 ranked Hurricanes.
