The Pennsylvania Game Commission continues to consider raising the cost of hunting licenses.
Several organizations have come out in favor of an increase, which would allow the commission to continue offering services as they have in the past.
License fees have not been adjusted for inflation since 1999. The Game Commission has cut staff and delayed the next class of Wildlife Conservation Officers in an effort to meet their budget without the increase.
Any proposed change in license costs would need to be approved by the state legislature.
