Armstrong has created a way to help a local food bank while at the same time, helping you with Valentine’s Day plans.
On Thursday, Armstrong will be showing a movie at the Butler Little Theatre, called Be My Valentine starring William Baldwin. The company is partnering with the Hallmark Channel to make this happen.
You can get a ticket by dropping off a non-perishable food donation to the Armstrong office on Benbrook Road and, in exchange, you will get a ticket to the movie. The donated food will then go to Katie’s Kitchen, which is run out St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in downtown Butler. Katie’s Kitchen serves a community meal every Thursday and they also have a food pantry.
Tickets will be available while supplies last, although, Armstrong is always accepting food donations to be given to their Breaking Bread Initiative. That effort helps local food banks in the Butler area.
The movie at the Butler Little Theatre will be shown on a rented movie screen that will be placed on stage. There is limited seating. Refreshments will be provided and prizes will also be handed out.
