The Penguins game against the Washington Capitals at Verizon Center Sunday afternoon has been snowed out.
The NHL announced this morning that the game has been postponed to a later date because of the severe snowstorm impacting the Washington D.C. area.
This game is the second game in the league to be postponed due to severe weather. Friday nights Capitols and Anaheim game was cancelled due to the snow storm.
A makeup date will be announced sometime in the near future.
The pens play today against the Vancouver Canucks. Coverage of that game can be heard on 680 am WISR following the news at noon.
