Saxonburg-based II-IV will spend $110 million to buy two businesses in an effort to expand its platforms.
The company will purchase EpiWorks Inc. out of Illinois and ANADIGICS Inc. of New Jersey to expand its technology platforms and production capacity for certain semiconductor lasers.
II-IV manufactures engineered materials and opto-electronic components.
