During the second round of the 44th Boys Junior PGA Championship being played this week in Hartford, Connecticut, 17-year old Jake Beber-Frankel set the all-time scoring record with a 60 at the Keney Park Golf Course. He broke the record of 61 set by two-time champion Akshay Bhatia set in St. Louis in 2017. The round sent him 12 spots up the leaderboard to second and one shot behind leader Canon Claycomb, who is a University of Alabama commit. Jake Beber-Frankel of Miami, is the son of Academy Award and Emmy Award winning director David Frankel. 76 players made the cut, with the third and fourth rounds being played today and tomorrow. The winner receives the Jack Nicklaus Trophy.
