Two local parents are reportedly upset after they say Moniteau School District officials did not react swiftly enough after their young daughters were threatened by a fellow classmate.
The parents claim their two 7-year-old girls were in the Dassa McKinney Elementary School library on Wednesday when a 7-year-old male classmate verbally threatened the girls, reportedly saying he would “go home, get a pistol, come back and shoot the girls in the head.”
The parents say they received a call from the school principal Thursday who told them what had happened and that disciplinary steps had been taken against the boy, but they said something should have been done Wednesday.
We have reached out to school officials for comment and are waiting to hear back.
