The 6th Annual Winterfest is coming up this weekend at Moraine State Park.
Jack Cohen, President of the Butler County Tourism Bureau, says the layout of the festival has been expanded this year so there is more space for parking, vendors and activities. He says the festival will also have many of the favorite activities that were held in the past, including dog sleds, a horse drawn wagon, the chili cook-off, ice-carving events, the Audubon Society’s walk, a visit from the Pittsburgh Penguin’s Iceburgh, and more.
The event will be from 12 p.m.-4 p.m. on Saturday at McDanel’s Launch on the North Shore of Moraine State Park.
The event is organized by the Moraine Preservation Fund, which is a nonprofit group who works to support and improve the park.
