Many local veterans will be honored Wednessday afternoon at an event focused on healthy choices.
VA Butler Healthcare is holding their fourth annual Healthy Living Recognition Event from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. in room 403C of their facility on New Castle Road.
In total, 39 local veterans have succeeded in making healthy choices resulting in positive outcomes like improved cholesterol, blood sugar control, weight loss, or giving up tobacco.
Information about VA programs on weight management, nutritional services, health promotion and disease management will be available to those who attend.
