A man escaped a car accident in Mercer County uninjured after the vehicle he was riding in rolled over and down an embankment.
State Police say 21-year-old Richard Butterworth, of Lansdale, PA, was driving on New Castle-Mercer Road in Wilmington Township on Sunday, January 10, 2016, around 6:30pm when he failed to negotiate a curve in the road.
The vehicle started to slide sideways and then traveled into the oncoming lane of traffic before it went off the road and down a seven foot embankment. The car rolled over twice and traveled back up an embankment before hitting a wood fence and stopped in a driveway.
Butterworth was wearing a seat belt.
