Practice begins today for the Big 26 Baseball Classic in Harrisburg. The game features several of the top rising junior and senior baseball players in Pennsylvania who will play a three-game series with a team from Maryland this weekend. Freeport pitcher Jarrett Heilman is one of the players on the PA squad. Heilman was 9-2 for the Yellow Jackets as a junior.
Heilman is one of two players from the WPIAL to make the PA team, which is selected on a tryout basis. There were no WPIAL representatives at last year’s classic.
