The Butler boys’ basketball team was defeated by Section 3 opponent Central Catholic 64-44 on Friday. Butler came into the game 9-3 overall with a 2-2 Section 3 record, while Central Catholic came in with a 8-2 overall record and 4-1 in Section 3.
Bobby Kiernan led Central Catholic and all scorers on either side with 21 points, while Kaden Rock led Butler with 9 points off of 3 three-pointers.
Butler falls to 9-4 overall and 2-3 in the section, as Central Catholic improves to 9-3 overall and 5-1 in the section.
Butler is back in action versus Seneca Valley in another Section 3 matchup this Tuesday (1/12), tip-off at 7:30pm. Tyler Friel will be on the call, pre-game beginning at 7:15pm on WBUT 1050 AM and the MSA Sports Network.
