Kevin Harvick held off Denny Hamlin to earn his first victory of the year Sunday at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. It was the first time in 21 races that Harvick took the checkered flag. Erik Jones, Ryan Blaney and Matt DiBenedetto completed the top five. The drivers head to Pocono Raceway this weekend.
Nascar X-finity Series crew chief Nick Harrison died over night Sunday. The announcement was made by Nascar at the drivers meeting. The 37-year old Harrison was crew chief for Justin Haley, who finished 13th Saturday. He was a veteran crew chief who had worked with all three Nascar national series since 2006.
Tommy Johnson, Jr. won the Funny Car event at the Dodge Mile-High NHRA Nationals in Colorado Sunday. He beat Bob Tasca for his second victory of the season. Steve Torrence took the Top Fuel, beating Clay Millcan in the final. Greg Anderson won the Pro Stock. Andrew Hines won the Pro Stock Motorcycle.
