The Butler Township board of commissioners has a new member in addition to two who began another term.
At a meeting Monday night, James Lokhaiser Jr. was given the oath of office by Butler County President Judge Thomas Doerr. Current commissioners Dave Zarnick and Joseph Wiest also took the oaths of office, as they were re-elected to another four-year term back in November.
Zarnick was elected as board president, following the retiring Joe Hasychak. Sam Zurzolo was elected board vice president.
Lokhaiser’s department assignment is fire commission, library liaison, and Preston Park advisory board. The remaining commissioners will largely continue in roles they have held previously.
