Those driving to and from New Year’s activities should be aware of increased police monitoring.
The Butler Barracks of the State Police will be conducting Sobriety Checkpoints around the Butler County area.
The checkpoints will be set up on roadways determined to be problematic with DUI offenses.
Authorities remind drivers there is no trick to decrease blood alcohol content; it will only decrease as the body metabolizes the alcohol over time. You’re urged to start the new year off by driving safely.
