High School Boys Basketball Results:
Knoch defeated East Allegheny 66-61 in the Freeport Tournament Round Robin last night. Freeport defeated Avonworth 48-44.
Butler defeated Woodland Hills 64-55 in the Pete Sauer Memorial Tournament Round Robin.
New Castle defeated Seneca Valley 87-59 in the New Castle tournament championship. Armstrong defeated Valley 45- 41 in the consolation game.
Karns City fell to West Shamokin 54-36 in the West Shamokin tournament championship.
Girls Basketball:
Seneca Valley won the Slippery Rock tournament championship over Slippery Rock 45-27.
Freeport fell to Deer Lakes 42-21 in the St. Joseph Tournament championship. St Joe’s defeated Knoch 70-38 in the consolation game.
Mars defeated Cornell 60-27 in the opening game of the Mohawk tournament. Mohawk defeated Moniteau 53-31.
Butler defeated Westinghouse 75-27 in the Sto-Rox Tournament Round Robin. Alyssa Eyth had 25 points for the Tornado.
