A local dad spent his Christmas in jail after he injured his son with a light saber toy.
According to our news partners at WPXI, 40-year-old Mondairo Jones of Springdale is accused of beating his 10-year-old son with a light saber Thursday night before 11pm.
Authorities say that Jones was irate and aggressive after his son woke him up, prompting Jones to use the toy. Police believe that Jones was intoxicated because he could not recall the incident.
Officials say that Jones’ son suffered various injuries to his face and head.
Jones faces four charges including simple assault and child endangerment.
