Students in the Seneca Valley School District are making a difference with several different local charitable organizations.
Over $1,700 in proceeds from the 2nd annual Haine Middle School Red Ribbon Walk-a-Thon, held in October, were donated to the Cranberry Township VFD, Cranberry EMS, the Allegheny Mountain Rescue Group, the Butler County Humane Society and the Super Heroes Foundation.
Also, Evans City Stepping Stones, a before-and-after school program at Evans City Schools, participated in a community service project called “A Gift From A Warm Heart”.
40 blankets were donated to Children’s Hospital and over 50 dog toys were donated to the Butler Humane Society this past weekend as part of this collection.
