Another coaching change has occurred in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Western Division. California head coach Mike Kellar has left the school to take the head coaching job at Lenior-Rhyne in North Carolina. Kellar led the Vulcans to an 8-3 mark this season, and went 31-12 in his four seasons at Cal. Slippery Rock University head coach Dr. George Mihalik is retiring and defensive coordinator/associate head coach Shawn Lutz will take over The Rock program in January.
In College Football Tuesday: Toledo defeated Temple in the Boca Roton Bowl 32-17. Akron picked up their first ever bowl win with a 23-21 victory over Utah State in the Idaho Potato Bowl. Today: Boise State and Northern Illinois meet in the Poinsettia Bowl at 4:30pm. Bowling Green and Georgia Southern play in the Go Daddy bowl at 8pm.
