Three people suffered various injuries after a late Friday night crash in Connoquenessing Township.
The State Police in Butler say that around 11:30pm on Friday, 19-year-old Richard Belles of Evans City was westbound on Route 68 when he slid across the lane and hit an embankment. Belles’ car then crashed into a car driving in the opposite direction.
Authorities say that the driver of the second car, an unidentified 16-year-old from Butler, suffered moderate injuries. The driver though was not taken to the hospital.
Belles’ and his passenger, 49-year-old Kimberly Culbertson of Butler, both suffered minor injuries and were taken to a local hospital.
Both cars suffered major damage and were towed from the scene. Belles will be cited for driving at a safe speed.
