The Pittsburgh Penguins dropped their fifth straight game Saturday night to the visiting Carolina Hurricanes by a final of 2-1.
Scoring the lone goal for the Pens was center Evgeni Malkin. For Carolina, former Pen Jordan Staal and John-Michael Liles both scored power-play goals.
With the loss, which is the fourth straight under new head coach Mike Sullivan, the Pens fall to 15-14-3 on the season, which is good enough for 6th place in the Metropolitan Division.
The Penguins have Sunday off, before they host the Columbus Blue Jackets Monday night. You can catch Monday’s game on WISR 680AM and on wisr680.com starting with pregame coverage at 6:30pm.
