The Butler boys’ basketball team won in convincing fashion Tuesday night against section foe Shaler by a final of 78-36.
The Golden Tornado started off the game on a 15-0 run, which led to a 26 point first quarter. After a 25 point Butler 3rd quarter, a mercy rule was enforced at the start of the 4th.
Leading the Titans offensively were Nich Pugh and EJ Posa, who finished the game with 11 points each.
For Butler, junior Joel Stutz paced the offensive effort with 17 points. Junior Tyler Fredrick, who crashed the boards hard for much of the night, finished with 14 points and a double-double.
